Syrup MK1 (Mini-iTX Build)
Syrup MK1 (Mini-iTX Build)
After having experimented for a year creating Ubuntu Server Virtual Machines in Proxmox, i found myself yearning for better hardware resources than what my Thinkcentre M900 Tiny could offer - despite having 32GB RAM and a i5-6500T CPU installed with a growing number of Docker Services running, the desire for greater Disk Size for File Storage, a curiosity to experiment with actual BTRFS RAID instead of creating redundant virtual hard disks, i decided that it was time to take the jump to better hardware - my Thinkcentre had served me well, and will continue to serve me well as a test sandbox, the time has come to assemble and manage my own hardware
In terms of naming conventions, when faced with making a naming decision on the fly i usually default to food - hence "Syrup" which over time, the name has simply grown on me, at the time my docker stack was not huge, and services run included:
Home Assistant
Jellyfin
Graphana
Glance

Portainer
Adguard Home
Uptime Kuma
