Adding Shared Folders in Synology

Log into your Synology as an Admin User
Go to Control Panel > Shared Folder > Create Shared Folder
Give Your Shared Folder a Name
Encrypt the Folder if you desire, just make sure you save the key somewhere!
Enable Data Checksum so that a Hash can be created that BTRFS can use to rebuild the data if needed
Confirm the settings and apply which user’s you’d like this to have access to the newly created Shared Folder
